William Lightning joined MFI as CO of the MFS Macross with a starting crew of six. In 46137 the MFS Macross was disabled in combat, at which point he took control of the attacking ship and renamed the new ship to MFS Aztec as his crew took over every major function of the ship. After that, William Lightning started to climb the ranks of MFI. He was assigned to MFI HQ in while he assisted the then CompOps Chief Laura Heartwell in setting up initial forms for reporting. After Laura Heartwell retired, he took over as CompOps Chief, pioneering during his time the MFI Database and setting up several communications systems now considered critical to MFI. During his CompOps term, he also took on roles of other jobs for short periods of time to fill gaps left between assignments of other at MFI HQ, a notable assignment was as Academy Commandent where used his unique role of CompOps and Academy hybrid to build much of the infrastructure around the course exams currently used by MFI. After retirement of CompOps, he remained on call for the next CompOps Chief Logan Andrews and the rest of the CC as a trusted Advisor. While he was Advisor he filled roles within the SOC and MSA, history of which is still classified. Will Robertson remains with MFI in a retired role helping out the Maquis Quartermaster with their website. He has continued to turn down more active jobs in MFI, and plans to remain as much in retirement as possible. In his own words, "I've done enough, if you want more. TOO BAD!"
