Welcome to the latest incarnation of the BADLANDS! A newsletter has always been a staple for MFI and I've been involved in nearly every publication since the inception of MFI in some shape or form. I've had the honor of being the editor these past two years and have had some difficulty getting a publication off the ground to the membership. For this you have my apology. With this, I hope to make up for that lack of time and opportunity by introducing the new Wiki-Badlands. Since our main Wiki site has been so successful, I hope that we can make the Badlands a new Wiki project and as much a community project as our successful site.

What our Wiki-Master, VADM Will Robertson was so kind to do for us was provide a separate but linked Wiki which allows us to share files previously uploaded as well as our original logins. What may be necessary is for everyone to have to log in twice (once to the main site, and once to this site), but those logins will be the same. Once logged in, you have access to both sites. I've changed the navigation to a "Table of Contents" giving you clickable access to the content within the Badlands. We'll have a section for Chapter Reports and a "Transporter Room" which will be for general articles the membership would like to provide. The beauty of having this format is that everyone can upload directly to the site and folks can then have instant access to that material. If you are not as versed in Wiki as most, simply post the material as best you can and email me for some assistance in cleaning it up. You are also invited to copy any page as a template, such as my article here, when it includes something that you feel will suit your needs. This allows you to provide good looking and easily formatted pages, and also gives the site a more consistent feel.

Well, lets give this the old college try and like many things in MFI, we try things out for size and see if its something we like. I hope everyone will get into the spirit of things and provide their reports, material, and articles to make this as successful online as it was in previous years. Thanks for all your support!
