FAdm Christina Doane: It is my pleasure to open the Awards Ceremony for those Maquis who have excelled in 2013. Since last years simulation ceremony went so well we're doing it again. This way to allow for everyone to comment and add when they are able. I want to say in advance congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard for MFI in all her sections. Well Done!

FAdm Doane moves to an open area on the stage near the steps. Vadm Parker stands and takes his place behind the podium.
Vadm Parker: FCapt Joshua Laury, Front and Center!
FCapt Laury moves from the audience and ascend the stairs to stand in front of FAdm Doane. They salute her, she returns the salute and the salutes are dropped.

Force Admiral Christina Doane: I take great pleasure in promoting Force Captain Joshua Luary to Commodore. With all the rights and responsibilities hereunto assigned. Over the last year Josh has been doing a lot of the un celebrated grunt work that goes into operations. The updating website links and pages, working directly with members and zone coordinators to solve problems, mediating concerns, aiding membership in setting up new chapters, reviewing awards, helping MFI members plan activities and dealing with the assorted paperwork involved with dealing with personnel in an organization. Integral to long term projects like Chapter records update, he worked without complaint. And solved any problem that came to his attention if he couldn't he wasn't shy about asking. Operations isn't always a glamorous job, but even in the Maquis we have of paperwork related operating to do *smiles*. We all wish we could be fighter pilots but one would be amazed at the number of people that get that pilot into air. I may be IC but its only with the help of a solid staff can I get the most done. So congratulations Commodore Laury!

FAdm Doane pins the rank on Commodor Laury, hands and shakes his hand. She steps back and salutes him, they return the salute and the salutes are dropped. Commodore Laury returns to his seat.

Vadm Parker: Lt. General Marc Easterly Front and Center!
Lt. General Easterly moves from the audience and ascend the stairs to stand in front of FAdm Doane. He salute her, she returns the salute and the salutes are dropped.

Lt. General Easterly takes center and speaks.
Lt. General Easterly: Commodore David Ferber Front and Center!
Commodore Ferber moves from the audience and ascend the stairs to stand in front of Lt. General Easterly as the others look on. He salutes him, he returns the salute and the salutes are dropped.

Lt. General Easterly: It is my pleasure to award Commodore Ferber the Marine Commendation Medal for Commodore Ferber has a long history of assisting the MFMC with recruiting/retention and has been instrumental with the MFMC/SOC aspect of past RPG events, helping me develop my back stories and other key elements by acting as a "sounding board". His help has been invaluable and so I want to commend his work with this award.

Lt. General Easterly pins the medal on Commodore Ferber, hands him his award and shakes his hand. He steps back and salutes him, Commodore Ferber return the salute and the salutes are dropped.

He has not only shown and overall attitude of helping his fellow Maquis but keeping the spirit of Trek alive and well. He regularly conducts various ship events to keep the love of Trek going strong. Movie nights, watch parties, role playing events, and even writing short stories. He also has spearheaded many community events giving back in the true spirit of a Trek fan. Fadm Doane: Larry French continues to show what it means to be an honorable, caring member of fandom, promoting the best example of what it means to be a member of MFI for his local community. He actively participated, giving time to various organizations. For example: the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. He was also Pittsburgh Race For The Cure Site Restoration Committee Co-chair, a Putt For The Cure volunteer, a Walk For a Healthy Community Volunteer, a Lee National Denim Day volunteer, a Liver Life Walk for the American Liver Foundation Planning Committee Volunteer Training Chair and more. Fadm Doane: There is one cell that has continued to host a number of charitable endeavors as they begin their journey with the Maquis Forces, taking off at Warp 9 right from space dock. The crew of the MFS Furtivis Anas has adopted the Solar Roadways cause as one of their own, spreading word and distributing information, as well as bringing in donations for that endeavor. They take time out of their busy schedules to work with the hearing impaired, offer aid at local food banks to sort items, cook food and serve meals. And they strive to collect items for myriad charities while getting together for any of their events - from D&D games, to LAN parties, taking a weekend at their favorite convention, or even just a casual movie-day at one of their homes.. Well Done.

Fadm Doane gives Captain Lamp the award and shakes his hand. She steps back and salutes him, he returns the salute and the salute is dropped. Captain Lamp returns to his position.

Fadm: The winners are not the only ones who served. Other honorable mentions are Colonel Greg Preast and Brig. General David Breland for their dedication to aiding their fellow Maquis. For Chapter of the Year MFS Exploration is to be commended for its sense of fun and activity. For Volunteer of the Year Lt.
