We are a very active Maquis Forces International chapter serving the Pennsylvania Susquehanna Valley with members currently from the Harrisburg area(Mechanicsburg & Camp Hill), Hershey, Elizabethtown, Lancaster, Leola, and Manheim. The M.F.S. Blazing Swords is a Star Wars and Star Trek Fan Club. Membership is, open to all interested Sci-Fi fans whatever shows/movies they may be into. Although Star Wars and Star Trek are the primary area of interest of the group, other science fiction TV shows and movies are discussed and watched at gatherings. Anyone can attend gatherings and participate in activities. One of our members from the Elizabethtown/Hershey area is a convention promoter, so not only will you see us involved in working Sci-Fi conventions but dressed up to do so.
We are currently working with the PA Jedi out of Philly to set up a Harrisburg Jedi-stage combat group to compliment our MFI membership. http://www.phillyjedi.com
Our CO did a major fundraiser for the Four Diamonds last year(2009), "Trick or Treating for Derek & Isabel."
