Maquis Forces International Chapters
MFS Furtivis Anas
Maquis Forces Tigard, OR - MFS Furtivis Anas RC 183337
The Mission of the MFS Furtivis Anas is three-fold: We develop peaceful relations with the Romulan Star Empire and Maquis Romulan Legion
where we are able, provide mercy to those in need, and defend the homes and freedoms of those downtrodden.
And we infiltrate enemy craft and territories spreading disinformation and sabotaging their operations.
Commanding Officer: Louis Lamp
Executive Officer: Belinda "Bee" Shultz
Intelligent Officer: John Bray
Logistics Officer: Michael Kostur
The small agile destroyer vessels are a favored craft of the Romulan intelligence service, the Tal Shiar. They have been created for speed and stealth, rather than attack capability that would be seen in bird-of-prey designs. As such, they are outfitted with a cloaking device allowing the ship to ferry Romulan agents into enemy space without being detected. It is further enhanced by a special transporter that can allow a successful transport to commence without lowering the cloak of the ship. These agents are then able to tap
into the communication grid of enemy ships to uncover the location of all enemy forces.
Finally, they are armed with a twin pair of plasma cannons to protect themselves in combat or to use in raiding operations.

The Romulan Shrike Class Patrol Ship was designed to function as an internal policing and patrol vessel within the borders of the Romulan Star Empire.
The Shrike is by far one of the smallest capital classes in the Romulan Navy, but it is also the most numerous. The vessel's primary function is hunting pirates and smugglers within Romulan space as well as patrolling Space lanes and escort duties.
During the latter part of the Dominion War it has been realized that the Romulan Empire's larger D'deridex Class Warbirds are more then a match for most ships the Dominion has, with one exception; the Dominion Attack ships are too small, fast and maneuverable for the
D'deridex to be able to take out in large numbers, therefore the Romulan fleet suffers blows from that disadvantage. The Shrike offsets that disadvantage, though not as powerful with it's shielding and firepower. Many Shrike class starships are currently being refit at a hidden location within the Maquis territories, with ablative armor and quantum torpedoes.
With the introduction of the Valdore late in the war, the Romulan Empire knows they also need something smaller, yet powerful. After the success of the Laehval Class the Empire wants to take a similar approach. This ship will be more battle oriented and larger, while also able to carry more troops.
They also need a ship that is more maneuverable then the rather bulky Laehval. This is why refit construction began on the Shrike Class in mid-2373, and the first ship has been launched within this year. Six ships of the class are taking part in the war, all have thus far shared in successful engagements. The Shrike Class is proving to be worth it! Serving as wings for D'deridex Class Warbirds, the Shrike is also flanking the similar Klingon B'rel Class Bird of Prey, taking out large numbers of Dominion Attack ships at one time.
The Shrike class is a favorite of the Tal Shiar, the Romulan Intelligence Agency, for its stealth and speed. It also is outfitted with a cloaking device, allowing Tal Shiar operatives to conduct covert operations in unsanctioned areas of space. These special Shrike class vessels are equipped with two forward firing plasma cannons.
Special Notation: ***Romulan Spy***
The Shrike can be modified to accommodate a Romulan Spy on board. The Shrike has been specially designed with unique transporters, allowing it to transfer the Romulan Spy onto enemy vessels without lowering its shields or decloaking. If successfully transported onto
an enemy ship, the Romulan Spy accesses the enemy’s sensors, giving the Shrike crew line-of-sight on a targeted enemy ship or station. If the Romulan Spy is able to get on board an enemy Starbase, it can access that opponent’s entire communications network, allowing full line-of-sight on all enemy vessels and stations.
