Late Sunday, a Support Task Force arrived in the outer Nivoch system.

Lead by MFS Compliance carrying:

  • [VFA-35] - an oversized squadron of 12-Peregrine class Tactical Support FightersEscorted by MFS Serendipity
  • Space Control Squadron 24 [VS-24 "Scouts"]

comprised of:

1-Arrow/Ares class Tactical Command ship [AJ-1]
3-Arrow/Artemis class Hunter-Interceptor ships
2-Arrow/Apollo class Destroyer ships
1-Arrow/Berserker class Hunter-Killer ship [AJ-7]

  • Patrol Squadron 16 [VP-16 "War Eagles"]

comprised of:

4-Raider/Bermuda class Patrol ships
2-Raider/Dodge City class Intercept-Boarding ships
2-Raider/Rock Ridge class Attack ships
1-Raider/Trapper experimental Long Range Surveilance ship [LF-9]

  • R&D Squadron 1 [VX-1 "Dexters"]

a composite squadron including:

5-Raider/Brazos class Countermeasures ships
1-Arrow/Thor class Weapons-Countermeasures ship [AX-6]
2-Arrow/Loki class Special Ops ships

MFS Compliance assisted in the conveyance of those ships incapable of extended warp travel. On arrival, the task force engaged in a crippling, bloody surprise attack on the Cardassian blockade forces, aided greatly by the several cloak-equipped vessels leading the way based on the intelligence gathered in advance by LF-9.
Tactical Command ship AJ-1 coordinated the VS-24 squadron ships in concentrating attacks on enemy ships disabled by Aceton Torpedos launched by the cloaked AX-6. The Special Countermeasures Brazos class ships worked their magic to effectively rout the remaining enemy ships with the threat of a far superior Maquis fleet arriving. Once the orbital menace was under control, Patrol and Attack Raiders of VP-16 accompanied by VFA-35 provided orbital and air support for the 544th on the ground. Several enemy artillery positions along Acknar highway were either destroyed or disrupted as well as any other identifiable targets of opportunity located. The cost was high. Six peregrine fighters were destroyed or disabled and one Bermuda class Raider was forced to make an emergency landing close to friendly lines. Most other ships suffered some form of minor damage. The Loki class special ops ships deployed operatives behind enemy lines and succeeded in disrupting enemy communications.

The really inspiring moment came when MFS Compliance used a Borg cutting beam and tractor beams to remove a large segment of Do Lung bridge.

Unless additional Maquis ships arrive to support our Task Force, we may be vulnerable to a regrouped and reinforced enemy fleet in counter-attack. Our tricks may not work a second time. Our battle has lasted for over a day of continuous fighting and we are starting what repairs we can handle.
