Report 001

Approximately 37 hours following SEALS team V's Havaris report:
<<encoded tight burst transmission from vicinity of Havaris>>

Report relayed by Raider/Trapper experimental Long Range Surveilance ship LF-9 "Eureka Maru".

Upon cloaked entry to the Havaris system we proceeded to a large debris field approximately 1/2 light year from Havaris which we had identified via long range scans prior to jump. The field appears to be debris of a former small moon along with a few dozen destroyed or fatally damaged old mining and freighter hulks. They appear quite old. The ships are outdated designs. We located a large breeched freighter with a low level of residual radiation that we can tolerate for an extended time. The radiation will serve to mask our own systems from medium range sensors or further. The breech into the cargo area is large enough to allow our ship entry. Our MCE techs are working to install remote sensors utilizing the surviving dishes of the freighter. Our three escort modified Romulan Scorpion Attack Fighters from Experimental Stealth Squadron XSR-109 found nearby concealment locations as well. Per our orders, we have designated this sensor “duck blind” operation as "Mulberry Bush" Advance Recon Base. Reports will continue as per schedule. Eureka Maru out.

Report 002

Six hours later...
<<encoded tight burst transmission from vicinity of Havaris, "Mulberry Bush" Base>>

Report relayed by LF-9 "Eureka Maru".

"Mulberry Bush" is fully operational. Passive scans and surveillance on-line. System activity is teeming. Dozens of Troop Ships and nearly triple that number of Freighters. Very few Capital Warships by comparison. Mostly Cardassian and Breen designs. Estimated count of at least 1000 fighters and armed attack shuttles make up for the lack of larger warships. Large numbers of Hideki class Patrol Ships/Heavy Fighters. Plan to send one cloaked Scorpion on recon mission to gather more detailed intel and plant a few remote sensors. More with next report. Eureka Maru out.

Report 003

Three hours, 19 minutes later:
<<encoded tight burst transmission from vicinity of Havaris>>

LCDR "Shakey" Stan Merkle did another visual sweep of the area outside his tiny ship. Old habits are the reason why he'd been so successful in his 27 years in space. No surprises allowed. Deftly he maneuvered up to the former Militia Space Command orbital HQ, an old ship repair and construction station. Now the station showed no life. Huge chunks had been blown away by massive blasts of multiple weapon types.

"Steady. Steady. Throttle back and match relative velocity. That's it. Hold there." Mission Specialist LT Jennith el'Xi quietly talked Shakey into position, then deployed a small remote sensor package amidst a twisted, torn hull plate. "Testing. Check. That's the last one. Let's go home before someone manages to peek under our cloak." The ship began retracing the trip out. Besides the station several small, old designed ships had been shredded well beyond necessity.

After about 15 minutes:
"Mulberry Bush, this is Fox One. All sensors deployed and fully on-line. Returning home. Fox One out."

Shortly thereafter we received two messages on encoded mission tactical channels:
"Mulberry Bush, this is Grasshopper Actual, all sections down safe, moving to positions."
and
"Mullberry Bush, this is Black Rabbit Actual, all members on the ground. we are moving to objective."

Other than that, our scans indicate approximately 15-20k hostiles on the ground and a huge amount of cargo being landed.

Eureka Maru out.

Reports 004 thru 009

SUMMARY of reports over several days:
<<encoded tight burst transmission from vicinity of Havaris, "Mulberry Bush" Base>>

Mulberry Bush continued observation of activity on and around Havaris, gathered SIGINT [signals intelligence], and relayed secure comms from advance Maquis forces in the region.
"Push Me Actual" and "Pull Me Actual" reported successful insertion as have several other advance teams. Notably however is the lack of comms from several other advance teams. No SIGINT of hostiles has suggested discovery or alerts related to our teams presence.

Beyond the initial enemy forces estimate, we have revised our numbers based on continued observation. Our new assessment is as follows:

  • 4 Breen warships
  • 6 Galor class Cardassian warships
  • 30 +/- Cardassian troop transports
  • 40 +/- mixed manufacture freighters
  • 1000 Breen and Cardassian starfighters in orbit
    • Majority of Cardassian fighters are HIDEKI class Patrol Ships [approx 100 meters long]
    • Only about 600 of orbital fighters are up and running--the rest are moored somehow in large groups. Perhaps some sort of tractor field or something keeping them in a sort of mothballed formation.
    • This 1000 fighters is IN ADDITION TO the 1500 +/- on the surface.

NOTE: The numbers fluctuate daily but come operation time they should be close.

Our advanced sensors have detected numerous cloaked signatures increasing as the event approaches.

Eureka Maru out.
