The following report depicts the actions of the 3rd Marine Division, 7th Armored Cavalry Regiment, on the world of Solosos, while conducting training for a large scale amphibious assault.

Operation Swift Sword
After Action Report
During the seventh day of training Operation Swift Sword being conducted by the 3rd Marine Division on the planet Solosos. An unknown military was spotted conducting a reconnaissance mission against the 3rd Marine Division. The enemy force was spotted by the 1st Platoon, D Company, 1st Squadron, 7th Armored Cavalry Regiment. The 1st Platoon observed the force and proceeded to engage and capture per orders of the Division Commander.
The 1st Platoon began their pursuit of the enemy force and in doing so closed to attack range and, when the 1st Platoon was making to attack the enemy force, they were attacked by a pair of enemy vehicles. Opening fire on the 1st Platoon, they disabled one tank and two crewmembers were injured. The Platoon Leader requested that he get support from any unit in their area because of the delaying actions being taken by the enemy. The Q Troop, 4th Squadron, 7th Armored Cavalry Regiment was in the area when they began chasing down the enemy forces. S Troop, 4th Squadron transported two companies from the I Battalion, 3rd Luftlande-Strum Regiment to areas in front of the enemy force to cut them off, to disable and capture the enemy force.
The I and II Companies set up an ambush for the enemy and were able to knock out a few of the enemy force’s vehicles and killed seven enemy troops. As the infantry closed with the enemy force, they observed among the disabled vehicles the bodies of seven troops dressed in a grey battle dress uniforms. Before the infantry could get close enough to inspect the vehicles they self-destructed but there was enough debris to be identified by the Division’s Intelligence units. One vehicle, an armored reconnaissance vehicle, failed to destruct and, we were able to gather a few maps and other intelligence from the bodies as well a unit patch.
We were unable to locate the rest of the enemy force we were chasing was no were to be found.
We suspect there was a cloaked ship in orbit that was able to quickly retrieve the remaining vehicles. The units secured the area for the Division Commander and Division Intelligence Officers to inspect the wreckage and other intelligence that might be found.
Based on the tactics and equipment the enemy used against the Division’s units, was a combination of Starfleet Marine and the mercenaries the 7th Armored Cavalry Regiment and Colonel O’Brian faced in the last major operation the unit faced. This was going to be a long and bloody conflict if they didn’t get in front of this and start making operation and campaign plans. The troops from the 1st Platoon tank that were disabled were moved to the Division’s Medical Unit for treatment.
