General Overview

The Ju'Day Class is a light freighter originally designed under Federation auspices as couriers and freighters. Later, they became commonly known as "Maquis Raiders" as the Maquis commonly used them in our fight against the Cardassians as Attack craft, as well as Boarding & Commandeering vessels.

Raiders come in varying sizes. The smaller Peregrine Class variant has a small cockpit with seating for two, with only a small cargo area in the aft section. The larger Ju'Day version has two decks. Deck One has a separate and much more spacious cockpit which holds four stations and 2 Sub-Stations, while Deck Two has larger crew facilities, a small Sick Bay, Cargo Hold with transporter and a Cargo/Deployment ramp and may be reconfigured for different purposes. Ju'Days have been in use for quite some time, some using 39 year-old rebuilt engines, some with newly designed upgraded engines. MFI's Raiders have all been retrofit with Cloaking technology acquired through contacts in the Orion Syndicate.

Maquis Raiders have Atmospheric flight and landing capabilities.
Atmospheric Propulsion: Maximum cruise speed is Mach 8.
Stardrive: Uses a warp engine that allows the ship to Cruise at Warp Factor 5.0, with standard Flank Speed being Warp Factor 6. Of course, MFI engineers have been able to upgrade our units to achieve Flank and Maximum speeds greater than those estimated by the Federation.
