MFI has been dreaming and debating a meeting of the organization which we could all FINALLY meet one another. We'd hope that we could get the entire Coordinator Council, Advisor's Council, Zone Coordinators, Chapter Chairpersons, and as many general members possible in ONE location for the first time. While the concept is daunting to say the least, it is possible if ONE factor holds true, that the MEMBERSHIP would like to attend. We can throw a party, but we need folks to come.

I have narrowed it down to two hotels (possibly a third in the DC Area) to decide upon. Both have attractive facilities and would serve our purposes very well.

Crown Plaza Hotel - Louisville, KY- Location that has been courting us to hold an annual event for some years. Recently underwent a 26 million dollar upgrade to their facilties. Old-fashioned Southern hospitality at Crowne Plaza Louisville. Located in the heart of Louisville, just minutes from the Louisville International Airport and major attractions like Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, the Louisville Zoo, and the Kentucky Exposition Center. Complimentary shuttle service. In true Southern style, providing all guests with free rides to the airport and any destinations.

While ther are no attactions that I think we can take advantage of in October, the Hotel does have a great bowling alley next door with a private party room and bar.

The Airport is also a stone's throw for the airport with a 5 minute shuttle ride to the airport provided by the hotel.

I've never seen this before at a hotel, but they have an ourdoor pool which is totally enclosed for the cold or inclement weather. This would be a perfect setting for a relaxing evening swim.

I have been dying to visit the Air Space Museum and see the original filming model for the original series which is housed there, the only piece of fiction in that museum. What a place to hold a meeting, and to make it over there and lay eyes on the model that started it all!
