Welcome to the semi-official Development Page for a Registrars Office proposal.
This is my way of Brainstorming the concept in a Visual way.
Will has given approval for the entire Academy Staff to join the on-going effort.

Contents

Mission

The Registrar will serve as Administrative Coordinator for the Maquis Academy Office of Certifications and Degrees.

  • Ideas and proposals are evaluated, developed, and approved under the lead oversight of this office working under the guidance of the Academy Commandant.
  • CLARIFICATION: Final approval of ALL cert/degree program offerings belongs to the Academy Commandant.
  • Proposals and development will include the cooperative assistance of the Academy Staff.
  • Approved Certifications and Degree programs will be managed and progress recorded.
  • Completed Certs and Degrees will be reported to the Awards office for appropriate action.

  • Required Field Work: Attending a CPR course Highly encouraged.
  • Alternate/Special Requirements: None

  • Award = Certificate of Completion: Ship's Medical Assistant.


Certification: Jr. Medical Officer

  • Lead Advisor: Rob (MACOM Dean)
  • This program recognizes successful completion of approved course work needed for any crewmember to qualify for Jr. Medical Officer.
  • Required Course Work: Med101: Basic Medicine, Med102: Cardiology, Med201: Klingon Anatomy and Med202: Pharmacology
  • Required Field Work: Attending a CPR course Highly encouraged.
  • Alternate/Special Requirements: Donating a Pint of blood at a designated Red Cross Blood-Mobile (or regional equivelent).

  • Award = Certificate of Completion: Junior Medical Officer.


Certification: Sr. Medical Officer

  • Lead Advisor: Rob (MACOM Dean)
  • This program recognizes successful completion of approved course work needed for any crewmember to Advance to the position of Sr. Medical Officer.
  • Required Course Work: All Level 100 & Level 200 exams; Med101: Basic Medicine, Med102: Cardiology, Med201: Klingon Anatomy, Med202: Pharmacology and Med203: Alien Medicine
  • Required Field Work: Attending CPR AND 1st Aid courses Highly encouraged.
  • Alternate/Special Requirements: Donating 2 Pints of blood at a designated Red Cross Blood-Mobile (or regional equivelent).

  • Award = Certificate of Completion: Senior Medical Officer.


Certification: Chief Medical Officer

  • Lead Advisor: Rob (MACOM Dean)
  • This program recognizes successful completion of approved course work needed for any crewmember to Advance to the position of Chief Medical Officer.
  • Required Course Work: Completion of All Level 100, 200 and 300 Courses.
  • Required Field Work: Attending CPR AND either 1st Aid, or Water Life Saving courses Highly encouraged.
  • Alternate/Special Requirements: Supplying verification of Donating 3 Pints of blood at a designated Red Cross Blood-Mobile (or regional equivelent), volunteering in any capacity during a local natural disaster of any kind. (just Spit-Balling here)

  • Award = Certificate of Completion: Chief Medical Officer.


Certificate: Flight Surgeon

  • Lead Advisor: Rob (MACOM Dean)
  • This program recognizes successful completion of approved course work specializing in the highly technical discipline of Aerospace Medicine.
  • Required Course Work: Medicine 301 and Aviation 101
  • Required Field Work: none
  • Alternate/Special Requirements: none

  • Award = Certificate of Completion: Flight Surgeon. Authorized to wear MFI Flight Surgeon Wings


Proposed Warfare/Strategy Certifications

Nebula Warfare

  • Lead Advisor: Leadership College Dean or Military Strategy Dean
  • This program recognizes successful completion of approved course work specializing in Limited Sensor "Visibility" Combat maneuvering inside Nebulas, as seen in "STII: The Wrath of Kahn", similar to 20th Century (WWII) Submarine Warfare.
  • Required Course Work: Leadership 101, AVI101, AVI201 and a new (reletively simple) exam (AVI202?)(could also be a Military Tactics & Strategy College Exam) focusing on Three Dimentional Thruster Maneuvering as seen in STII:TWoK and Submarine Films ("Z Plus 300 Meters": Straight up, "Z Minus 200 Meters": Straight Down, Pivoting, etc) possibly based on Submarine Reference Material.
  • Required Field Work: Watch "Run Silent, Run Deep", "The Enemy Below", "STII:TWoK", etc. (Grin)
  • Award = "Certified Nebula Warfare Strategist"??? Eligible to wear "Submariner Dolphins" with a Maquis Logo, instead of Pilot Wings???
