Type-IIIE
Sometimes referred to as an assault rifle, the Type-IIIE utilise plasma acceleration to provide a powerful bolt of energy similar to that fired by pulse phaser cannons on the Defiant-class starship.
In 2379 the Type-IIIE was introduced as an upgrade of the Type-IIID, with improved holographic targeting.
