Equipped as one of the most heavily armed vessels in the Quadrant, the MFS Premonition is a state-of-the art starship, carrying arguably some of the most powerful weapons, propulsion and power systems in history.
Armed to the teeth with fifteen Type-XII phaser strip arrays, one Semi uni-directional Type-VI phaser cannon/turret powered by a Class II Temporal Warp Core - the Premonition is the symbol of space defense and superiority.
The Manheim Deuterium/Tachyon Matter/Antimatter Reaction Manifold, commonly shortened to the "Temporal Warp Core" is actually two reaction systems within the same containment manifold. The conventional warp drive is powered by the standard Deuterium/Antideuterium (Matter and Antimatter respectively) which also produces the dangerous byproduct trilithium. Trilithium is then refined and cleansed through by processing with Radiometric converters. When purified, the remaining energy is then used to power ships systems, from life support to replicators.
The second reaction occuring within the Temporal Warp Core is between Tachyons and Anti-Tachyons. This process powers the third nacelle as well as the Temporal powered systems. While many of the exact functions of this system remained classified, it is capable of bending space-time around the vessel, shielding it from conventional sensors and the visual spectrum, but allows for temporal research. In essence, the Premonition is able to scan time, as conventional sensors scan space. This provision not only serves as a scientific tool, but a crucial tactical defense system to the vessel.
