Mission Objectives
General Overview
The "Maquis Raider" is a type of light starship originally designed under Federation auspices and later commonly used by the Maquis in our fight against the Cardassians. Raiders come in varying sizes. The smaller Peregrine class variant has a small cockpit with seating for two, and a cargo area in the aft section. The larger Ju'Day Freighter version has two decks. Deck One has a separate and much more spacious cockpit which held four stations, while Deck Two has larger crew facilities, a small Sick Bay, Cargo Hold with transporter and Cargo/Deployment ramp. These raiders have been in use for a long period of time, some using 39 year-old rebuilt engines.
Maquis Raiders are capable of Atmospheric piloting and landing.
Atmospheric Propulsion: Maximum cruise speed is Mach 8.
Stardrive: Uses a warp engine that allows the ship to Cruise at Warp Factor 5.0, with standard Flank Speed being Warp Factor 6. Of course, our engineers have been able to upgrade our units to achieve higher than "Standard" speeds estimated by the Federation.
