For over 221 years our Corps has done two things for this great Nation. We make Marines, and we win battles.
Gen. Charles C. Krulak, USMC (CMC); 5 May 1997 You'll never get a Purple Heart hiding in a foxhole! Follow me!
Capt. Henry P. Crowe, USMC; Guadalcanal, 13 January 1943 "I have only two men out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." "We are United States Marines, and for two and a quarter centuries we have defined the standards of courage, esprit, and military prowess in the USA." "Don't you forget that you're First Marines! Not all the communists in Hell can overrun you!" "Marines die, that's what we're here for. But the Marine Corps lives forever. And that means YOU live forever."
Every member of MFMC is bound to follow the Orders, from the Commandant on down to the newest Rifleman General Order 1 General Order 2 As a MFI Marine, I will always conduct myself in a military manner, keeping always on the alert and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing. I will never be caught off-guard. General Order 3 As a MFI Marine, I will report to my superiors, all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce. I will not lie, cheat or steal, nor tolerate those who do. General Order 4 As a MFI Marine, I will relay all calls and communications from MFI members stationed to posts more distant from MFI HQ than my own. General Order 5 As a MFI Marine, I will quit my posts, positions or duties only when properly relieved. I will never do so in a self-aggrandizing manner. I will never surrender of my own free will to groups outside of MFI. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist. General Order 6 As a MFI Marine, I will receive, obey and pass on those who relieve me, all orders from the commanding officer, officer of the day, and officers and noncommissioned officers of the MFI and MFIMC. General Order 7 As A MFI Marine, I pledge to always uphold the honor of the MFI and the Corps. I will always comport myself in a manner that reflects well on the organizations. General Order 8 As a MFI Marine, I will stand ready to assist in my community whenever needed. I pledge to always put the 'social contract' inherent in being a good citizen; first before my own enjoyment of Trek Fandom. General Order 9 As a MFI Marine, I pledge to follow the idea of IDIC- Infinite Diversity in Infinite Configurations. I will never tolerate, promogulate or support bigoted, divisive thinking or ideology. General Order 10 As a MFI Marine, I pledge to recognize the rank of 'officers' higher in the group than myself. I will always respect the honor and integrity of those 'superior' officers, and that of the MFI and MFIMC. I promise to show the same respect and tolerance of 'subordinate' MFI members at all times, recognizing that the 'rank' I hold is fictional. General Order 11 As a MFI Marine, I pledge to -always- have fun with likeminded Trek fans, whenever, wherever and however the chance presents itself. General Order 12 If, during part of my MFI experience, I become a ' prisoner of war' during an event with an 'allied' fan group, I will keep faith with my fellow Maquis. I will give no information nor take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them in every way. If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and to aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
