Greetings, one and all,

Here we are again with another exciting report of the activities of the crew of the ICV Heghnach. Since we are eagerly awaiting our trip home for the Thanksgiving holidays, I am sending this report out early. I am getting prepared and excited about going. Ksimka and I will have limited internet resources from November 19th until December 5th as we will be in the Chicago area. Feel free to contact us there if you are in the area and would like to get together with us.

''Klingon Task Force''

The Klingon Task Force has a brand new look. I spent most of the month reformatting the Klingon Task Force website to the new Wiki format. It is located at http://wiki.maquis.com/w/KTF , but the old site is still up and operational. Only some of the Staff personnel information is needed to complete the site. The ICV Heghnach website was also converted to the Wiki format as well and can be seen at http://wiki.maquis.com/w/ICV_Heghnach . For those MFI and/or MFA Klingons that want to subscribe to our newsletter may do so. Take a look at http://wiki.maquis.com/w/KTF for the latest and greatest information on the Klingon Task Force. If any of you have ideas, please feel free to share them. Everyone start thinking about what the KTF vision and mission is to them. I will be trying to get another discussion going after I return from my trip.

The Beach Bash Reunion was last weekend and everyone had a blast. Beach Bash was held in Myrtle Beach, SC on November 10th-14th. We had Misty Harshman and Ron Seymour in our car and Chris "Syrak" and Annette "K'iffin" Roark with their mother and two boys following behind us. For more information, visit the Beach Bash website: http://beachbash.chaouwempire.org/ . I worked Security as usual. Ksimka worked registration as usual. House Ki'RK Initiates Syrak and K'iffin were assigned duties of Security and Bartending. They graduated into the House Ki'RK on Saturday night. Klingon Karoake and the Klingon in Kilts parties were absolutely fantastic.

Charity/Community Service Update
+

+
We really had no Charity/Community Service during the month of October other than pop tab collection. We delivered over 7 pounds of pop tabs to the Quadrant Commander at Beach Bash last weekend.

POP TAB CHALLENGE (I STILL WANT THESE TABS!)

The House Ki'RK pop tab collection for charity has started again for this year. I was informed by Captain K'Hergh that the Ohio-PA Quadrant reigned superior in collection this year bringing in over 10 large pickle jars of tabs again to Beach Bash. FCapt Scarlett was the second place Quadrant Commander, since she was the only other Quadrant Commander there. The ICV Heghnach donated at least a pound this past quarter. Let's not stop there! Let's get started now collecting. I would like to see each Heghnach member give me as many tabs as they can collect between now and Beach Bash 2006. Since two of the other Quadrant Commanders weren't there to compare results, I am unsure how this affects the ongoing competition. I, as Commander of the ICV Heghnach, ask that if you are not collecting these pop tabs, please start. Send them to the XO or I so that we can turn them into the Empire Quadrant Commander on behalf of this crew, so that we can increase this fundraising effort. If we spread the word that we are doing this, we could easily increase the amount that the House Ki'RK raises. I would like to see the ICV Heghnach double it's collection by next year. I want all tabs turned into the Command Staff before we go to Beach Bash so that we can give them to K'Hergh. I would like to be able to bring at least two or three gallons to him at Beach Bash, so get out there and start collecting those tabs! K'Hergh issued another challenge that whichever Quadrant Commander brings in the most tabs by Beach Bash 2005 will be the Supreme Commander over all Cha'ouw Empire Quadrants.

According to the Ronald McDonald House, "one pound of pop tabs is worth $.04 more than one pound of pop cans. Depending on the present value of aluminum, the value from pop tabs averages 50 cents to 55 cents per pound. There are approximately 1,300 tabs in a pound. The Ronald McDonald House currently raises $500 a month from the recycling of pop tabs. This amount could easily double or triple if everyone who reads this article starts to recycle." http://www.rmhc.com/kids/poptab_collection/
