Actually, the term is quite correct.  Our organizations name is "Maquis Forces International".  Our individual chapters are named for their areas, "Maquis Forces City and State.  The rank of the commander in chief was called aptly, "Force Admiral".  The rank "Force Captain" came about when we wanted to have a rank for a senior captain in charge of many other captains.  That would be a "Fleet Captain" in other organizations, however, with the term "force" so entrenched in our motif, it only seemed apt to call the rank "Force Captain".  With the addition of ground force ranks, we had to also create "Force Colonels".

shouldn't force captain be a fleet captain in the naval branch! If this page was open for editing I would have changed it. Want something done, do it yourself ;-)

Actually, the term is quite correct. Our organization's name is "Maquis Forces International".
