Gary,

So far looks GREAT! I was wondering why you had deleted all of the newly loaded ribbon graphics. Now I see. We really needed a page of all the variations. Glad to see it happen!

Questions: With regard to the knot bars, originally didn't the Deans have a Double Knot and Authors a Single Knot? I see all of the ones you did using Singles but you are calling them Dean Ribbons. Are you going to make graphics for Double Knots also?

Thinking about it, I would think that using Double Knots for Authors might make more sense. To me, authors are a step "more special" than a Dean. More work goes into being an author. At this point, can we swap those two around?

Testing...

Is anybody reading the comments?

The images here are just an experimentation to get all the ribbon graphics the same size. Logan has a full set, with ALL the variations, but the sizes aren't uniform and can't easily be resized in Wiki.

We're also experimenting with computer generated "base" ribbons and superimposing/layering the Stripes, Stars, Borders and Knots, so we won't NEED to have a copy of each and every ribbon variation taking up space on the site. http://maquis.com/rob/images/rob-sig-sm.jpg Rob J, IC 09:42, 31 Aug 2005 (EDT)

Getting Wiki to cooperate is becoming a CHORE.. but I HOPE to have the base ribbon technique down.. or at the very least, the ability to "build" ribbons easily for a uniform and graphic appearance as we have here. The challenge is getting the attachments to look nice and uniform and still have the overall appearance of the ribbon correct. So far, so good. I'm stil playing. I may have to abbreviate the "pieces" graphic names a bitt. Right now I have things like "ribbon_bar_blk.jpg", I may make it "RBB.jpg. If I think of the ribbons as a composition of 10 parts, its pretty easy. Ya just look at the ribbon and do the "math" in your head. A single bar is one part, a thicker bar is two parts, thicker yet, three parts, and so forth.
