Thinking about making the Class VI Probes "Energy Draining" devices similar to the "Aceton Assimilators" used in "Booby Trap" (TNG... Geordi in the Holodeck with Holo-Brahms), but instead of creating deadly radiation, they would simply act as "Collectors" and render the enemy's reactors inert.
