577th Marine Support Group

The 577th Firebird MFMC Unit is a full Support group established as a M*S*H unit.

Forward Surgical Teams and Medical Surgical Hospitals generally have half the number of marines as a normal Brigade would, and these individuals typically cross-train with their PMOS (Primary Military Operational Specialty) and a very strong SMOS (Secondary Military Operational Specialty) that allows them to work as if they were part of an entirely different field unit.

5771st Military Police - Obfuscatory Osprey
"Between Maliciousness and Mercy" (Μεταξύ κακεντρέχεια και του Ελέους)
Acting Infantry Lance Squad
The 5771st LS is comprised of 1 squad of 15 Light Infantrymen who's duty it is to fill in the ranks of the unit in roles of Security and Paratroop First-Responders/Combat Medics.

5772nd CSSC: Transportation - Racing Ravens
"Carrying All Burdens" (Μεταφορά όλες οι επιβαρύνσεις)
Acting Armor Lance Squad
The 5772nd LS is a squad of 7 mixed light and heavily armored vehicles operated by 14 soldiers. Divided into 3 "Lances", the first consists of a command/scout vehicle (Hummer), the second two ambulance/scout vehicles (Mercy) and the third four large ambulance/bus vehicles(Nightengale).

Raven CSSC (Armory) Lance Teams
1 Command Officer/Military Intelligence, 1 Armory/Driver, 1 Infantry/Signal Corps
“Hummer” The Hummer is a heavier version of the Jeep. Like the lighter vehicle, it can run on two AG modules, or on its four wheels. A flip of a switch in the cabin changes drive options. The wheels stay in place (they do not retract). This makes both the Jeep and Hummer very versatile on the battlefield.
The Hummer has several configurations thanks to an interchangeable roll-cage pod which can carry either a heavy phaser, a missile launcher (vehicle-mounted), a communications or EW rig, or nothing at all. This also makes the Hummer quite versatile, and has lead to it being one of the most common ground vehicles in the MFMC today.

1 Junior Officers/Military Intelligence, 1 Armory/Transportation, 2 Infantry/Signal Corps, 4 Medical/Morale
Mercy
The Mercy is an Advanced Life Support ground vehicle capable of carrying one ALSTTAR and three litters. It is propelled either by two antigrav lift/thrust systems, or by armored wheels. It is powered by a charge pack good for nearly 12 continuous operating hours. It is difficult to work in because of its low ceiling, but the low profile of the vehicle provides for better battlefield survival. The low profile also prevents stasis tubes being carried as the space under the ALSTTAR is not large enough for the tubes. Instead, one litter is placed under the ALSTTAR, with two on the opposite wall.

2 Junior Officers/Military Intelligence, 2 Armory/Transportation, 4 Infantry/Signal Corps, 8 Medical/Morale (1,2,2,4/vehicle)
Nightingale
The Nightingale is a larger ground ambulance capable of carrying nearly 40 wounded over great distances. Based on the chassis of the Combat Engineer Branch’s Mule, the Nightingale has four antigravs for a lifting capacity of nearly 10 tons. It houses three ALSTTARs on three FMD-108s, 12 litters, and a forward compartment that can hold either 18 seats, or 10 litters. The Nightingale is a large and ungainly ground vehicle which avoids the front lines whenever possible. When they are used, it is most frequently for ferrying noncritical casualties between Field Hospitals and MSHs.

5773rd Military Intelligence - Observant Owls
"With Clarity All Is Revealed" (Με σαφήνεια όλα αποκαλύπτεται)

5776th Research & Development Lance Squad - Illuminating Ibis
"Rising on the wind toward tomorrow" (Η άνοδος στον αέρα προς το αύριο)
Acting Maritime Operations Lance Squad
All 36 members of Ibis team members can be found filling in ranks all over the Aurora, with other marine Lance Squads, or focusing on team and individual projects that entail improvements in any number of ship, weapons or hand-held device functions, modifying mecha or armory vehicles, and even reverse engineering alien technologies to help the science department understand just what each newly-discovered strange object does.

5777th Medical Lance Squad - Cutting Cormorants
"With a precise strike" (Με μια ακριβή απεργία)
Only Medical Lance Squad
The backbone of the MSH portion of the Firebird unit, this single platoon of 36 doctors, surgeons and nurses work in concerted effort to bring merciful relief to those in distress, save lives and keep the Aurora crew whole and healthy.
