| Seventh production run of the Maquis Arrow Runabout. Aether is a very special craft in that she is one of very few equipped with a Romulan Cloaking Device. The Maquis rescued a renegade Tal Shiar officer being pursued by a Romulan Bird of Prey. Once the Romulan pursuers were destroyed, the officer was taken to Empok Nor for medical treatment. The Romulan's shuttle was equipped with a new version of cloaking device which she was all too accommodating to share once she learned she had sanctuary with the Maquis. Aether was built under her guidance and instruction. Commander Aerv, who's name translates to "watcher from above" serves as the chief engineering officer supervising the cloak and assisting the Maquis aboard maintain Aether's position undetectable during their surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Aether normally operates alone either making her way to deployment positions on her own, or launched by one of the Maquis' carrier ships such as the MFS Shakaar. Missions can last a great deal of time, so Aether is equipped with staterooms to accommodate the crew as well as carrying supplies necessary to support them. |
