Hello just like to say good job and I like it ,but I do have one little criticism. Does the MFI need another Special Operations/Forces unit? We Got the SOC/SSD Epsilon and Delta units the MFI SEALS and Marine Force Recon P.S if this post does not sit well with anyone feel free to delete it.

No problem at all,

Typically I would respond in an email but.......

This is why these pages were created, to give TRADOC Staff a place to create, cobble and, discuss.

OASIs is meant to be an add-on force under MFMC's ground warfare arm in addition to Recon.

Now, this being said, please understand that the entire Marine Corps is "Special Operations capable" meaning that any section of MFMC has the training, capability and, equipment to participate in missions right alongside of Maquis Special Forces Units (i.e. SEALS, DELTA, ect.)

<Please remember that "Officially" EPSILON does not exist, there would only be rumors of them heard in the usual scuttlebutt>

Although....Not trying to be technical or anything but,

Epsilon and Delta are SOC not SSD.

I hope this helps

Sure the MFMC is special ops capable hence Marine Force Recon witch would be the Special Ops arm of the corp witch would already have this capability like the SEALS, DELTA and the non existent SOC unit :) .

I think it would be cooler to make the OSAIS more like Airborne regiment type unit such as the US army 82nd Airborne or the British Red Devils (British Airborne). I am thinking more like Commandos not exactly Special Forces but way better than the average grunt. This will also provide members with another option for their chapters the Airborne Option. I would even change the name from OSAIS to OSAIC (Orbital Assault Infantry Commando) Regiments not squads or teams. What I am trying to say is with this think big not small. But obviously you guys put some serious work into this and it is really cool so feel free to disagree and continue with your original train of thought.

I agree with you on the Airborne idea, my understanding is that we're going to leave the size of the OASIS unit up to the individual chapter to decide, meaning that: Whatever the ship has room for, whether it be a Platoon or Regiment then that's what they'll go with.

Maybe we could develop several different variations of the OASIS/OAG/OASIC depending on what we think an individual chapter/MarDet could use?

And please, do not apologize for your opinions that's why we have this sounding board page. There needs to be differing ideas and opinions, how else can we flesh things out if we all just agree with one train of thought?
