Every year. the International Coordinator has made it a point to provide MFI a 'challenge' to contribute to the scientific community, teaming up with a company or service to allow our membership to benefit a specific cause or worthy endeavour.

This year, the IC has arranged a venture between TerraPass, Inc.to allow members interested in helping with the current energy crisis and ongoing carbon dioxide epidemic. FADM Cummings, in conjunction with TerraPass General Manager Pete Davieshave put together a program for all MFI members who want to not only contribute to reducing carbon emissions and an individuals 'footprint' in the carbon world, but also benefit themselves with "green" technology in the process.

Please browse the TerraPass storeand contribute in any way you possibly can. Such things as small as a set of rechargeable batteries to a carbon offset pass contributes in every way to the environment... and I challenge YOU to help not only mother nature, but also help and further a company that's main goal is one in the same. Authorization has been signed for beginning the campaign, dubbed "Operation: TERRAPASS" -- establishing a campaign award for anyone who contributes to the campaign. This page will continue to expand, which will also include the "IC's Choice List," items that the IC has particular interest in or are economical and most practical.
