To safely and covertly deliver the squadrons of Tactical Fighters, Runabouts, and Arrows emplopyd by the Maquis, these modified and retrofitted Miranda Class Light Cruisers are now designated Heavy Carriers. Deployed and stationed near Empok Nor, these Carriers have a modified Deck 6 and 7 which serve as an expansive hanger deck. Each carrier has a specialized mission profile and thus the types of craft they carry vary.


Utilizing the variety of craft belonging to the Runabout Task Forces, these ships can be used for deployment when establishing Base Camps, or Colonizing new areas. Additionally, a Assault Carrier version will carry ground forces for planetary operations.
