MFMC General Orders

MaquisMarinePatch newdesign2.jpg

Every member of the MFMC is bound to follow these Orders, from the Commandant on down to the newest Rifleman. Tradition. Honor. These are the backbone of steel that makes the Corps strong.

General Order 1

As a MFI Marine, I will take charge of my cell or any other unit of MFI, when requested, and I will never shirk my obligation to lead others. I will perform all duties assigned to myself, or requested by myself to the best of my abilities, recognizing that there is honor in a job done to the best of my abilities. The honor in self-betterment is in the search. I will always share my abilities for the betterment of the group. I am a Maquis, a Rebel. I fight for my family, friends and community. I will always do so, to the best of my abilities.

General Order 2

As a MFI Marine, I will always conduct myself in a professional Military Maquis manner, keeping always on the alert and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing. I will never be caught off-guard.

General Order 3

As a MFI Marine, I will report to my superiors, all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce. I will not lie, cheat or steal, nor tolerate those who do.

General Order 4

As a MFI Marine, I will relay all calls and communications from MFI members stationed to posts more distant from MFI HQ than my own. I will always stand ready to aid fellow MFI Marines and MFI members.

General Order 5

As a MFI Marine, I will quit my posts, positions or duties only when properly relieved. I will never do so in a self-aggrandizing manner.

General Order 6

As a MFI Marine, I will receive, obey and pass on to those who relieve me, all orders from the commanding officer, officer of the day, and officers and noncommissioned officers of the MFI and MFMC.

General Order 7

As a MFI Marine, I pledge to always uphold the honor of the MFI and the Corps. I will always comport myself in a manner that reflects well on the organizations.

General Order 8

As a MFI Marine, I will stand ready to assist in my community whenever needed. I pledge to always put the "social contract" inherent in being a good citizen first, before my own enjoyment of Trek Fandom.

General Order 9

As a MFI Marine, I pledge to follow the idea of IDIC - Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations. I will never tolerate, promogulate or support bigoted, divisive thinking or ideology or tolerate those who do so.

General Order 10

As a MFI Marine, I pledge to recognize the rank of "officers" higher in the group than myself. I will always respect the honor and integrity of those "superior" officers, and that of the MFI and MFMC. I promise to show the same respect and tolerance of "subordinate" MFI members at all times, recognizing that the "rank" I hold is fictional.

General Order 11

As a MFI Marine, I pledge to - always - have fun with likeminded Trek fans, whenever, wherever and however the chance presents itself.

General Order 12

If, during part of my MFI experience, I become a "prisoner of war" during an event with an "allied" fan group, I will keep faith with my fellow Maquis. I will give no information nor take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them in every way. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command to fan groups outside MFI while they still have the means to resist. If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and to aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
