KTF Navigation |
The MFI Klingon
Uniform Standards: The basis of the KTF uniform is the basic uniforms as seen In the multiple Star Trek series and Movies. These uniforms are composed of a top (hereafter called a the appropriate insignias that indicate rank, academy honors (courses completed), post held, affiliations. Uniform Tunics may be purchased or hand manufactured, as falls to the discretion of the owner. It must be stressed that owning/wearing a standard uniform is NOT a membership requirement of MFI, nor the KTF… but it is encouraged for the sense of unity and identity that it brings. Besides…It looks extremely cool and intimidating at conventions! **NOTE** Traditional Klingon Insignia and Badges (i.e. Arm badges, cloak pins, Homeworld service pins…etc.) may be worn in their correct and appropriate locations.
Command Cloaks are ONLY supposed to be worn by ship’s Commanding Officers, or those at or above the rank of Captain / Colonel.
It is requested that you not wear Klingon awards that have not been awarded to you by the Command Council of the KTF.
*PLEASE
NOTE: This is not LAW ! it is only meant as a guideline. Also note at the end
are general additions to this document. Headgear : Head Ridges and /or Wig (unless you already posses long enough hair) as per your character. Tunic: Black or Grey are the standard turtleneck or jersey color to be worn
Armor: Tradition Grey on Black armor is to be worn. Only Command Council members may wear black on black armor.
Gloves and Bracers: Black, fingerless gloves, with some variety of spike or claw on the back side over the third knuckle. Bracers should be of a dark color, black preferred, with a 4-5 letter word in Klingon in Gold or Silver on the front of each one. Word may be anything accept a curse, swear, profanity, or hate related; it should be a word that means something to the wearer.
Pants: Black or Grey slacks/pants (Black BDU Pants are Best).
Footwear: Combat or Black Rubber boots recommended, though Black shoes can be worn. Toe Spike is preferred, but not mandatory. No tennis/athletic shoes please.
Insignia: Rank insignias will be worn on the wearer’s right collar or gorget. Insignia indicating a branch activity (KTF/Fleet/Marine) will be worn on the wearers left collar or gorget, a Maquis Pin may also be worn on the left collar or gorget instead of the branch activity. Insignia/Rank pins are to be centered between top and bottom of collar or gorget, and spaced 1 inch back from the leading edge of the collars vertical edge, or 1-2 inches back from the front center seam of the gorget.
Trimming and Sash: Uniform sash trimming is mandatory (or at least highly encouraged) for all KTF members, using the following guidelines.
Black Sash: KTF Command Black Trim: KTF Command Green Trim: Dual Service in MFI Marines Red Trim: Dual Service in MFI Fleet Red Sash: Diplomatic Corp Yellow Trim: Diplomatic Corp Blue Trim: Dual Service in MFI Special Operations Command Maroon Trim: Dual Service in MFI Special Security Division Blue Sash: Medical Corp
